Construction on the River Caddis project at Lincoln Way and Sheldon Avenue will require the closure of the outside eastbound lane of Lincoln Way through the completion of the work. During construction, traffic on Lincoln Way between Sheldon and Hyland Avenues will be funneled into three lanes – an eastbound lane, westbound lane, and a dedicated center turning lane for traffic access to Sheldon Avenue.
The River Caddis project covers the block on the south side of Lincoln Way between Sheldon and Hyland Avenues. The approximately 1.8 acre site is being redeveloped into a multi-story building and parking ramp and will include student apartments, a small hotel, and first floor commercial space.
The traffic reconfiguration along Lincoln Way is anticipated to remain in place up to 18 months or until the project is complete. Motorists should use caution in the area.
