Why become a Firefighter?

And if you are reading this, it must be a question that you have asked yourself at some time.  Well, we are glad you did, because the fire service field is always looking for quality individuals to perform this highly critical and satisfying work!

The best part is that NO EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED!

However, Firefighting is a physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding job.  Often, the work is challenging, complex, and performed under less that ideal conditions (e.g., darkness, extreme cold/heat, icy, snowy, in traffic, in confined spaces, etc.). So, you may be saying to yourself:

"I want to be a firefighter, but I have no experience"

"I want to be a firefighter, but I really don't understand the job"

"I want to be a firefighter, but I can't compete with the other experienced applicants"

If you're asking yourself some of the above questions, watch the following videos...
