Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG):

This program is a federally funded program of the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The activities implemented under this program will include a wide variety of community and economic development activities directed toward neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and the provision of improved community facilities and services. The overall goal of the program is to ensure that at least one of the following three national objectives is met: 1) benefit persons of low and moderate income; 2) aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight; or 3) meet other community development needs of particular urgency.
