Three finalists have been selected to interview for the position of Ames Deputy Fire Chief. A public presentation has been scheduled for each candidate so the public has a chance to meet each finalist.
The second public presentation will be for candidate Matthew Price at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 3, also at the Homewood Clubhouse. Price is currently Captain with the Johnston-Grimes Metropolitan Fire Department, where he leads the EMS Division and serves as Shift Commander. He has a bachelor’s degree from Waldorf University and a master’s degree from Drake University. He has the following certifications: EMT-P, Fire Officer I, Instructor I, HazMat Operations, Fire Fighter II, Fire Fighter I, Fire Instructor II, Fire Officer II, ICS 300, and ICS 400.
The public is invited to attend the public presentations and share feedback on the candidates.
