Ames Municipal Band kicks off the summer concert series with Council Night at the Bandshell at 8pm on Thursday, June 2. Unfortunately, guest soloist Simon Estes is not able to attend after he suffered a hip injury.

Meet Ames City Councilmembers as they hand out free ice cream & Ames water beginning at 7pm. Several City departments will also be showcasing sustainability programs, services, and rebates. Ames Electric Services will be distributing LED lightbulbs to customers (1 per Ames address as supplies last). 

There will be no warm-up band playing at tonight's concert.
