Ames Parks and Recreation will once again present its Free Community Movie Night event at 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Bandshell Park, Sixth Street and Duff Avenue. The 1984 classic "The NeverEnding Story" will be shown. Admission is free. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be shown in City Auditorium, 520 Sixth St.
