The City of Ames will host environmental speaker Chad Pregracke, founder of river clean-up organization “Living Lands and Waters,” at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 30, in the City Hall Auditorium, 515 Clark Ave. Pregracke will share his organization’s efforts to protect and preserve rivers and watersheds around the Midwest, and what others can do to help. The community is invited to this free lecture, which is part of the City’s continuing celebration of our selection as Iowa River Town of the Year.
