The Ames Public Art Commission in partnership with the Octagon Center for the Arts and the Ames Community Arts Council present Chalk the Block Contest as part of the Octagon Art Festival on Sunday, September 26 at 10 a.m. Judging will take place at 2:00 p.m. This is a free event and open to all ages of the public. To register for the contest, email publicartcommission@cityofames.org with the participant's name, age group, address, phone number, and email address. Chalk will be provided for the first twenty participants.
