Ames Parks and Recreation and JAX Outdoor Gear are hosting a Spring Fishing Day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, at Ada Hayden Lake, 5205 Grand Ave. The day will include fishing at the lake for all ages, fly fishing classes (casting from 9 a.m. to noon; fishing from noon to 3 p.m.), fish cleaning, cornhole games, door prizes, and a food truck (11 a.m. to 3 p.m.).

Bring your own fishing pole and bait. Anglers ages 16 and older must have a valid fishing license and follow all State of Iowa fishing regulations. More information regarding State of Iowa fishing regulations is available at www.iowadnr.gov.
