The Housing Division will be responsible for, but not limited to, the administration of the:

Community Development Block Grant Programs (CDBG)

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

The City of Ames no longer administers the Section 8 Program. The program for the city limits of Ames is now being administered by the Central Iowa Regional Housing Authority (CIRHA).  Click here to be directed to their website or contact their office at 515-986-1882, ext. 20. CIRHA is located at 1201 Gateway Drive, Grimes, IA 50111.
