Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs:
These programs are a federally funded from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The activities implemented under this program will include a wide variety of housing, new home construction, housing rehabilitation, community and economic development activities directed toward neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and the provision of improved community facilities and services. The overall goal of the programs are to ensure that at least one or more of the following three national objectives is met: 1) benefit persons of low and moderate income; 2) aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight; or 3) meet other community development needs of particular urgency.
