The community is invited to attend a presentation called “Civility in Conversations” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, at Ames Public Library, 515 Douglas Ave. (Note: This event was postponed from April 4.) This event is intended to be an interactive presentation exploring the importance of civility and civil discourse in addressing the challenges of mental health issues we face both from an individual perspective as well as public engagement. The event is hosted by the City of Ames featuring speaker Scott Raecker, Executive Director of The Robert D. and Billie Ray Center at Drake University.
