The City of Ames, in partnership with the ISU Office of Sustainability, is seeking non-profit organizations to assist with the seventh annual Rummage RAMPage. Rummage RAMPage is a community-wide garage sale designed to keep reusable items out of the waste stream. Items are donated for sale, and volunteers from local non-profit groups help run the sale and share in any profit.

An orientation meeting for interested non-profit organization representatives is planned for 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 4, at the Water Treatment Plant, 1800 E. 13th St. Organizations are needed to send volunteers to staff the event. As an incentive, the organizations will receive a share of the profits based on the number of volunteer hours. The 2023 Rummage RAMPage will be held from Friday, July 28, through Saturday, Aug. 5, at the Ames Intermodal Facility parking ramp, 129 Hayward Ave.
