The City of Ames will be receiving $557,990 in CDBG funds and $321,765 in HOME funds for Fiscal Year 2023-24. These funds can be used to implement a variety of community and economic development activities directed toward neighborhood revitalization, economic development, and the provision of improved community facilities and services. The funded activities must meet the following three national objectives: 1) benefit people of low- and moderate-income; 2) aid in the prevention or elimination of slums or blight; and 3) meet other community development needs of particular urgency.
