An open house to share information and receive public comments regarding future improvements to the South Duff Corridor from South 16th Street to Airport Road, including the U.S. Highway 30 Interchange, will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 25, in the Council Chambers at Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Ave.
The South Duff Avenue Corridor and Interchange Study was undertaken to understand the future traffic needs of both South Duff Avenue and U.S. Highway 30 so that future improvement projects of both corridors could be implemented under a unified plan. Future improvements could include interchange reconfiguration, construction of additional travel lanes, changes to intersection lane configurations, and changes to the alignment of the existing shared use path.
The open house will be a come-and-go format with no formal presentation planned. Those with questions or comments who are unable to attend the meeting may contact Mark Gansen, Civil Engineer II, at mark.gansen@cityofames.org or 515.239.5291.
