Two open houses to gather public input regarding nutrient reduction alternatives being considered by the Ames Water Pollution Control Facility are scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Ames Water Plant, 1800 E. 13th St. The first open house will be held from 2:30 to 4 p.m., followed by the second open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
The open houses will use posters and handouts to share the results of the study and the potentially feasible approaches that could help Ames meet or surpass the goals of the Nutrient Reduction Strategy. There will be no formal presentation, and attendees can come and go as their schedule allows. Surveys will be used to generate reactions and feedback from attendees.
Information will be available beginning on Monday, Oct. 8.
