This special mobile meeting of the Ames City Council will provide the City Council with an opportunity to visit housing projects the City of Ames has acquired, rehabilitated, and constructed utilizing Community Development Block Grant funding received the last 3 to 5 years. As the City prepares a new 2019-2024 CDBG five-year Consolidated Plan (due May 2019), the tour will provide information, along with data from HUD and input from the community, to help shape priority housing needs and goals.
This tour will include 321 State Avenue and discussion on how to develop the mixed-income site, as well as a drive through the City's first Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Area (NRSA).
Those wanting to attend or ride in the van should arrive at the west door of City Hall, 515 Clark Ave., by 2:45 p.m.
