No-Charge Yard Waste Day will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, at GreenRU, 400 Freel Drive. Residents may dispose of yard waste, including brush, at no charge during this event.
*NOTE: Due to wet weather conditions earlier this week, GreenRU has advised that they may be unable to open the entire site for yard waste drop-off, leading to potentially longer lines and wait times to drop off yard waste and brush. A determination will be made by 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, as to the portions of the site that will be open. Please check the City’s Facebook or Twitter page for updates.
As an alternative to Saturday’s drop-off, residents can use the voucher option. New this year, a voucher is available that allows for one leaf/brush disposal drop-off load at GreenRU from noon to 5 p.m. today, Nov. 8, Monday, Nov. 11, or Wednesday, Nov. 13. Vouchers are available at Resource Recovery, 110 Center Ave., during normal business hours, and must be redeemed at time of disposal.
Hours for drop-off on Saturday, Nov. 9, are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the only Saturday of the fall No-Charge Yard Waste Days that brush, in addition to leaves and grass clippings, can be dropped off at no charge.
Yard waste is not accepted at the Resource Recovery Plant (RRP).
