The Ames City Council will hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 7, 2020, to hear public input on the evaluation of four growth area scenarios related to Ames Plan 2040, the update to the City’s Comprehensive Plan. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers, Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Ave.

The City Council is asking participants to provide input and feedback on growth scenarios and areas prioritized for development for the future of Ames. This input will help the City Council shape a preferred option(s) to guide the preparation of Ames Plan 2040.  The City Council will take action on the preferred scenario option(s) for Ames Plan 2040 at the regularly scheduled Council meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020. Direction from Council will allow the City to move forward on creating a complete draft of Ames Plan 2040 for public review later this spring.
