The City of Ames and Iowa State University will kick-off the 2020 Census “Claim Ames” public awareness campaign with a press conference at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 13, 2020, in the City Council Chambers, second floor, City Hall, 515 Clark Ave.

Ames Mayor John Haila, ISU President Dr. Wendy Wintersteen, and a representative from the U.S. Census Bureau will officially launch the campaign, which focuses on accurately counting every person living in Ames for the 2020 Census. Throughout the next several months, special efforts will be made to connect with Iowa State University students by incorporating student, faculty, and staff participation in the Claim Ames campaign.
