The Ames Municipal Band is premiering its new virtual program, Muni Band and More, at 8 p.m. today, July 9.  This first in a series of four concerts will air on Ames Channel 12. Ames Municipal Band fans who do not have Mediacom or who cannot get the Channel 12 signal from their Mediacom service can access Ames Channel 12 via the City’s website at www.CityOfAmes.org/Channel12 or via YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/user/AmesChannel12

The first Muni Band and More concert will feature the Green Oaks Trio with Reggie Greenlaw, Curt Snook, and Steve Hurst. This local favorite will perform American folk and Irish-Celtic songs with guitar, fiddle and mandolin. The hour-long program will also include favorite past performances of the Ames Municipal Band including soloists such as Simon Estes and announcer John Burnett-Larkins.
