Ames Television

Media Production Services is responsible for the production of all programming on Ames Television. Ames Television is available on Mediacom Channel 12 (Channel 12-1 or 12-2) and also streaming live and on demand from the city website!  Ames Television strives to inform and educate citizens about local government activities. 

Live Production: 

Ames Television covers City Council, Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, Historic Preservation Commission, Commission on the Arts and Parks and Recreation Commission meetings live.

In addition to the live broadcast and web streaming of Ames City Council meetings, meetings are also streamed on Facebook Live and YouTube (when available). Archived meetings are also available on the city's website.
