Home Menu2022/23 CyRide Route Pavement Improvements-Lincoln Way (Beedle Dr/Hickory Dr to Franklin Ave)
Project Information
On Friday, September 20th, Traffic will be shifted to a single lane in each direction on the eastbound lanes of Lincoln Way between Marshall Ave and Franklin Ave to facilitate the removal and replacement of the westbound lanes. Business access from Lincoln Way will be closed in this section, with business traffic redirected to Marshall Ave, where signage will indicate
"North Business Access." The sidewalk on the north side of Lincoln Way between Marshall Ave and Franklin Ave will also be closed during this stage of work. Anticipated duration to complete the westbound lanes is 4-5 weeks. Once this work is complete, business access will reopen, and work will begin on the north half of the Marshall Ave intersection. Please use alternate routes if possible. The work zone will have low speeds and narrow lanes. Allow extra travel time as delays will occur. Bicyclists and pedestrians, please use the signed detour route. Residents with landscaping in the ROW, please remove all plants & objects as they may be damaged or removed by construction operations. All green spaces disturbed by the project will be restored.
This project is anticipated to be completed in 7 major stages that will allow traffic to be maintained with one lane in each direction at all times. In addition to new concrete street pavement, the scope of work for this project also includes improvements such as spot improvement to sanitary and storm sewer structures, the reconstruction of the shared use path on the south side of Lincoln Way, and signal infrastructure improvements to the intersections of Marshall Ave and Beetle Dr. Accesses along the length of the project will be opened and maintained as long as possible to help with the flow of traffic. Please visit website highlighted below for phasing information. As with all projects, the actual duration will depend on weather conditions and phases may change at the time of construction.
