Karen Server, Purchasing Manager: Karen joined the City in May 2011. Karen received her Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification in 2011 and her Certified Professional Public Officer (CPPO) certification in 2017. She has a number of years of experience in purchasing at Iowa State University and in private industry. Karen is responsible for the supervision of activities of a centralized purchasing division including procurement, mail and messenger services, and printing services.
Amanda Moore, Procurement Specialist II: Amanda joined the City of Ames in 2005 but joined the Purchasing Division in 2017 as a Purchasing Clerk. She received valuable knowledge in procurement and later obtained the Procurement Specialist I position. She gained experience by completing small project bids for all departments. In 2021, she became a Procurement Specialist II and received her Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) certification in 2022. She is responsible for all Electric Service bid projects.
Quinn Eggink, Procurement Specialist I: Quinn joined the City in May of 2022. Quinn has previous purchasing experience buying hydraulic power components for distribution. Quinn is responsible for bidding goods, services, and small projects from all departments.
Jill Burt, Procurement Specialist I: Jill joined the City in March of 2014. Jill worked as the aquatics manager until December of 2022. Now part of the Purchasing Division, Jill is responsible for bidding goods, services, and small projects from all departments.
Desiree Fuller, Purchasing Clerk: Desiree joined the City in May 2018. Desiree has previous purchasing experience with Mary Greeley Medical Center. Desiree provides administrative support for all of the Purchasing team members. She is responsible for the purchase of office supplies, maintaining the inventory in the Central Office Supply Store, completing credit applications, managing City surplus, updating the Employee Directory, completing vendor gift returns, and providing tax exemption certificates. Desiree also serves as the primary Mail Clerk backup.
Linda Adams, Mail Clerk: Linda joined the City in 2004. She had previous experience in mail and messenger services at the IDOT and at Iowa State University. Linda is responsible for all incoming and outgoing US Mail, pickup and delivery of all inter-departmental communications, and incoming and outgoing parcels for most departments. Linda also serves as backup for the Printing Services Technician.
