The City of Ames, through United Public Safety, offers a quick and easy payment option for customers interested in paying their parking tickets by credit or debit card. United Public Safety is a third party automated payment processor that accepts payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please have either your ticket number or license plate available when paying online.

*United Public Safety will charge a $3.00 service fee for each ticket. 

The fee covers payment handling and processing charges incurred by United Public Safety. The City of Ames does not receive any portion of the service charge.

If the amount due listed on our web site does not match the amount printed on your ticket,
please contact the Parking Cashier at 515-239-5283.

Tickets may also be paid at any of the following locations:

Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

By Mail addressed to Parking Cashier, Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames, IA 50010

In the Drop Box on the east side of the Ames City Hall, 515 Clark Avenue, Ames

In the Campustown Drop Box located in the 200 block of Welch Avenue, Ames
