The City of Ames is seeking public input on the draft final version of the Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan, known as "Walk, Bike, Roll Ames." This document is now available for community review and is central to shaping a future where active transportation options are safer and more accessible for all Ames residents. The draft will be available until Friday, April 5.

This plan includes a detailed framework of policies, programs, and infrastructure improvements to enhance walking and biking in Ames. It outlines a wide range of evaluation criteria, implementation strategies, and short-term to long-term project recommendations. An additional plan element focused on developing a comprehensive wayfinding system is currently being finalized and will be posted when it is complete.
